Kousay Said – President & Chief Executive Officer

Kousay brings more than 30 years of experience in the chemical industry with a career that spans multiple functions, technologies, geographies, and markets. Prior to being named President and Chief Executive Officer of GreenMantra™ Technologies, Kousay served, over the past five years, as the Chief Commercial Officer of Sirrus, Inc., and as the Chief Executive Officer of ZeroBase Energy, LLC, both startups with a business model focusing on resource efficiency and advanced manufacturing. During his 20 year career at The Dow Chemical Company, Kousay held several key positions including: Managing Director of Dow Solar Solutions, where he helped form and fund the unit, VP of global Business Development at Dow Building Solutions, and Commercial VP – NA at Dow Automotive Systems, where he was responsible for the growth and profitability of the more than $750 million regional business. Kousay studied mechanical engineering, and holds a Master in Business Administration from Oakland University.

Ryan L’Abbe – Vice President of Operations

Mr. L’Abbe has extensive experience in Operations Management & Human Resources at a senior level in the beverage, recycling and automotive sectors.  Ryan began his career in Human Resources at the Ford Motor Company of Canada and Labatt Breweries of Canada.  Ryan made the transition into Operations at Labatt where he led several large operational teams in both London, Ontario and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ryan participated in the merger of three of the world’s largest breweries (as the Canadian Operations lead) and led the implementation of a large brewery optimization project designed to drive improved brewery efficiency as cost savings.  Upon completion of this project, Ryan joined a small, entrepreneurial bottled water company and led both Operations and Human Resources for the Company at a senior executive level.  During this time, Ryan spearheaded the opening of 2 new bottling plants in Canada and the 3 new bottling plants USA.  Ryan was also responsible for starting the company’s new PET plastic recycling division and grew it to an annual production of over 50 million pounds of food grade recycled plastic for use in the company’s own production of water bottles – a North-American first.  Ryan is well-known and respected within the plastics recycling industry.Ryan holds a Master of Industrial Relations (MIR) degree, a B.Comm (Honours) degree from Queen’s University and post-graduate certificates from the Harvard Law School’s Program of Instruction for Lawyers and from the Master Brewer’s Association of America in Packaging Technology.

Martin Hudson – Vice President of Finance

Martin brings more than 25 years of experience in a variety of projects, with a focus in resource and manufacturing industries across Canada and the United States.  Martin’s early experience includes working with a research organization in Northern British Columbia and co-founding an environmental consulting and research firm – Tesera Systems Inc.  Early experience also includes economic and environmental development contracts in the Russian Far East in the early 1990’s with significant results including the creation of a new national park, and startup First Nation businesses that are still active today. Martin recently joined GreenMantra™ Technologies from a large privately held Ontario based company where he was Vice President of Finance, and was part of the senior team that doubled the size of the company over 5 years, adding 25 new companies to the business mainly through acquisition.  The acquisitions and subsequent integration were manufacturing companies throughout North America ranging from aerospace manufacturing, to foundries, and specialized equipment manufacturers.  Prior to this experience Martin was the Chief Financial Officer of a public company – Tornado Technologies Inc., which produced oilfield equipment in Western Canada, and during this time the company grew significantly, acquiring several companies and eventually merging with a public company – Empire Industries Ltd.Martin holds a B.Sc. in Resource Management from the University of Victoria, and received his Chartered Accountant designation from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.

Domenic Di Mondo – Senior Director, Research & Business Development

Domenic Di Mondo is a chemist with specialization in catalysis and polymer chemistry, having several publications and patents on the topic. As Senior Director of Research and Business Development at GreenMantra™ Technologies, his focus is on driving innovation and market growth around new intellectual property, products, and applications.  Domenic joined GreenMantra™ just after its inception in 2010 and led the development, scale up, and commercialization of the company’s patented thermo-catalytic process for the controlled depolymerisation of hard-to-recycle plastics. In 2016, Domenic was recognized with The Canadian Plastic Industry Association’s Young Leader Award, and along with his research partners, the R&D100 GreenTech Gold Award for advances in the continuous depolymerisation of waste plastics.   Domenic earned a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Guelph, and post-graduate certification in Strategy & Innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
